How does location verification actually work?
Admins define one or more approved locations (office, client site, training centre, route waypoints) and the system stores them as geofences with a configurable radius. When a trainee taps "Mark Attendance" on the app, TrueAttend captures their device location and only confirms the mark if they're inside an approved zone. Out of zone attempts are flagged in the admin dashboard, never silently approved.
What if someone is genuinely off site for a valid reason?
Exceptions are a first class concept in TrueAttend. A trainee can submit a remote or alternate location request with a note; the admin sees it on the dashboard alongside the regular check-ins and can approve, deny or request more detail. The full exception trail stays attached to the day's record forever, perfect for audits.
Do you support multiple sites, batches or routes per organisation?
Yes. A single TrueAttend workspace can host any number of sites, batches, teams or field routes. Trainees can belong to multiple groups, and admins can scope their view to a single batch or zoom out to the whole organisation in one click.
What devices does the mobile app support?
TrueAttend runs as a lightweight mobile experience that works on modern iPhones, Android phones running Android 8 and above, and as a clean web view for desktops. We test heavily on low end Android because the people who need attendance verified the most are often the ones with the most modest phones.
Is my organisation's data safe with TrueAttend?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, attendance records are immutable once created (corrections are tracked as separate entries), and every change a user or admin makes is logged. We never sell, rent or share attendance data with anyone outside your workspace.
